In recent years, due to the improvement of living standards and changes in dietary structure, the incidence of hyperuricemia and gout has increased year by year worldwide. Most patients with gout will be complicated by gouty arthritis, which not only brings unbearable pain to patients, but also may cause a series of serious sequelae.
At present, extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is widely used in musculoskeletal diseases, such as knee arthritis, frozen shoulder, tendonitis and other related diseases, and is often used in combination with basic treatment regimens for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis.
Clinical Methods:
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy is used on patients. The patient was instructed to relax the position, mark the area with obvious tenderness through the positioning of the body surface, use a sterile couplant to wipe the affected area, select a 15mm shock wave probe, adjust the impact frequency to 8Hz. The pressure is 1.0~2.0bar, the pressure degree is moderate, and the impact times are 2000 times.
During the operation, according to the patient's tolerance and condition, the set parameters are appropriately and reasonably fine-tuned, and the actual situation is subject to the patient's acceptability. 3 times for 1 week, continuous treatment for 1 week, to ensure that the patient has no obvious discomfort during the treatment process.
